She was vexed. When I say vex mi mean, shi did BEX.
As we headed up towards Craighton, Irish Town, that’s how she felt.
I contemplated if I should write that for the longest while. We all want to present the best and curate the most impressive moments to show the world as if we’re not only trying to convince everyone it’s all good, but convince ourselves too. But if we do that, we miss what true love is meant to be.
“I’ll be compliant,” she said. And so we went up despite how she felt.
“In all the world, there is no heart for me like yours. In all the world, there is no love for you like mine.”
SOMEWHERE IN CRAIGHTON,
IRISH TOWN, JAMAICA
WE’RE ENGAGED — Anna is gentle, quiet and likeable. Marc is vibrant, outgoing, and a real claffy at heart. Their love is clear to see.
Irish Town was designed to bring about peaceful resolutions: framed by the most diverse species of pine and fir trees in the whole world, their backdrop was the Blue Mountains. Like a city on a hill which cannot be hidden stood the beautiful St. Mark’s Anglican church. It displays the finest architecture and is an exotic church to get married in (I’m really hoping they get married there).
The many textures and scenes created a vintage charm which reflects a time when simplicty was easily attained. This ancient pink house became a foretelling of that day Marc comes home with flowers in his hand.
REST FOR MY SOUL
Then came the elements of a Jane Eyre novel – gentle drizzles of rain, fog rolling over the hills and cool wisps of air – a stage for the great mystery to be unraveled.
She gently rested on his head and all things became clear once again.
Despite our differences in personality and ideals, it is true love that binds us together. Sometimes we need that little bit of reassurance that everything will be okay.
True love is not a feeling. True love is a decision to value another human being equally, and sometimes, even more than one’s own self. And perfect love overcomes the imperfections we see in each other.
There is no fear in love
But perfect love
drives out fear
